Welcome

Troop 208 is chartered by Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. Our goal is to instill Christian values and build Christian character through discipleship and practical application of the Word of God. Proverbs 22:6 exhorts us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Our Troop verse is 2 Tim 2:21b, “…he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

We ground the Scout Oath, Law, Promise and Motto in this one verse. Honor, service, preparedness and character are essential elements of our program.

Boy Scouts is available to boys 11 through 17 years of age.   Troop 208 meets in the Calvary Chapel Cafeteria on Thursdays at 7PM – 8:30 PM.

Cub Scouts is available for boys 6 through 10 years of age. Calvary also is the home of Cub Scout Pack 208. If you or your son is interested in Cub Scouts, you can visit their website Calvary Chapel Cub Scout Pack 208 to learn more.

  1. My son is 7 years old and going into 2nd grade. Can you tell me a little bit about the boyscout and how I can get him involved?
    Thanks,

    • If your son is 7, he can join Cub Scouts(boy scouts start at age 11). Calvary’s Cub scouts meet on Thursday nights at 7PM in the 2nd floor classroom area of the main sanctuary building.
      Thanks,
      Mike Monahan
